RESILIENCE features in Life Sciences Jobs Plan

The UK’s Life Sciences sector drives innovation, attracts investment and delivers high value growth across the country.

And RESILIENCE is supporting a more inclusive and resilient Life Sciences workforce.

At the heart of the Life Sciences sector are the people that sustain it. Skills and talent will determine whether the UK can fully realise the potential of Life Sciences, and the latest Government plan sets out how they will guarantee a growing highly skilled, adaptable workforce that supports both the pipeline of future talent and the development of those already working across the system.

The Life Sciences Jobs Plan sets out how government, industry and partners across the UK will work together over the next three years to address current and future workforce challenges in the Life Sciences sector.

It sets out actions to:

  • strengthen the domestic skills pipeline

  • improve routes into the sector

  • support businesses to access training

  • ensure Life Sciences continues to offer high-quality jobs across the UK

The plan is structured around four pillars:

  • improving sector coordination

  • skills

  • hiring

  • good jobs
